Media law case – successful representation of Swiss media group

Nater Dallafior successfully represented a Swiss media group in a complaint for defamation and violation of his personality by a billionaire. The entrepreneur claimed to be a victim of a media campaign because of a number of press articles published by the group's newspapers. The lawsuit involved multiple entities of the media group and the entrepreneur not only sought the removal of the articles but also requested the publication of the judgment as well as monetary compensation.

The District Court of Zurich dismissed the entrepreneur's complaint in its entirety. In its more than 100-page judgment, the court held that there was no media campaign and that none of the articles in question affects the complainant's personality.

The entrepreneur has appealed against the judgment.

The Nater Dallafior team consisted of Roberto Dallafior and Zoe De Santis.
