Nater Dallafior successfully represented Lara Warner, former Chief Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Officer of Credit Suisse, in proceedings before the Swiss Federal Criminal Court.
The case concerned allegations arising from a 2016 payment by the government of Mozambique to an account at Credit Suisse and an alleged breach of the duty to file a suspicious activity report.
On 18 May 2026, the Swiss Federal Criminal Court set aside the penalty order issued by the Federal Department of Finance on 7 March 2025, holding that the alleged offence was time-barred. The judgment remains subject to appeal.
The mandate was led by Roberto Dallafior and Florentin Weibel, together with the wider Nater Dallafior team, working alongside Gibson Dunn, Joseph Warin and his team.
The decision follows the discontinuation, in November 2025, of separate money laundering proceedings previously conducted by the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland in connection with the same matter.
